You cannot change history.
But you can live it — jump by jump, decision by decision.

This gamebook combines rigorous historical research with choice-driven, demanding gameplay. You step into the boots of Marek Zadrożny, a fictional soldier of the Polish 1st Independent Parachute Brigade, whose personal story unfolds amid the real events of Operation Market Garden — from Driel to Oosterbeek.
Gameplay is built around the day-to-day reality of frontline warfare: advancing under fire, making improvised command decisions, fighting desperate engagements, and facing moral choices with no clear right answers. Every decision has consequences, affecting your health, morale, time, and the course of the narrative itself.

Mechanically, the game uses a clear yet unforgiving system of tests and combat, based on three core attributes: Body, Mind, and Will. Dice rolls, ammunition management, morale points, and life points ensure that every encounter carries real risk, and that even small mistakes can be fatal. Combat — whether individual skirmishes or large-scale unit engagements — reflects the chaos of the battlefield, where numbers, terrain, and morale often matter more than personal heroics.

This is not merely a survival game. It is an interactive historical chronicle, grounded in soldiers’ diaries and official reports. Real people, real command decisions, and real consequences shape a story that restores visibility to those long denied it — the Polish paratroopers of Arnhem.
