Tactical Napoleonics: La Bataille de Wavre, June 18, 1815

As Marshal Grouchy´s men marched up the Brussels/Wavre high road the distant cannonade grew louder. Great events were apparently unfolding elsewhere. But as the sound of these guns increased to a continuous roar so too did the wrath of Grouchy´s men. Frustrated in the knowledge that they were too far away to affect those events, by the time they reached Wavre their fury had reached fever pitch. General Vandamme took only a moment to arrange his lead division for assault. A moment later all hell broke loose.

La Bataille de Wavre simulates the often ignored exploits of the right wing of L´Armee du Nord, on the fateful day of Waterloo, June 18, 1815, and the field which it won the next day (completely oblivious to the enormity of Napo- leon´s defeat.) It can be played independently of the other games in the Waterloo cycle or linked and simultaneously resolved with La Bataille de Mont St. Jean.

La Bataille de Wavre simulates the often ignored exploits of the right wing of L´Armee du Nord, on the fateful day of Waterloo, June 18, 1815, and the field which it won the next day (completely oblivious to the enormity of Napo- leon´s defeat.)

As the French player you command the Corps of Generals Vandamme and Gerard. As the Prussian player you have General Thielemann´s unenviable task of standing between 33 thousand fanatically loyal Frenchmen and their Emperor.

It can be played independently of the other games or linked to be simultaneously resolved with Mont St Jean.
The deluxe version of Mont St Jean or Ligny is required for the counters as the game doesn´t inlude any.

This game completes the Waterloo series of games which includes Tactical Napoleonics: La Bataille de Ligny 2nd Edition,, Tactical Napoleonics: La Bataille des Quatre-Bras (Second Edition) and of course Tactical Napoleonics: La Bataille de Mont-Saint-Jean. The game does of course involve the exploits of the right wing of L´Armee Du Nord on June 18th.
